About Me
Hello! My name is Rebekah, and I am a studio florist and a flower farmer. Flowers have always been a part of my life, that began when I was a young girl in our family greenhouse and gardens. That is where I began to closely study plants and flowers and growing them! I began working in greenhouses at age 15 and grew to taking horticulture classes, floral design classes in college and then worked for 20+ years in local flower shops.
Fast forward to my marriage and children and a shift in careers to teaching elementary school, in order to be more available for my kids. I continued to create wedding flowers on weekends, and during the summer for friends and family. I retired from teaching this past year, and am now ready to return to my first true love, flowers! I am looking forward to creating flower joy full-time for clients!
As a studio florist/gardener, it is important to me that I grow my own flowers to cut for arrangements, and when not sourced from my gardens, they come from local flower farmers in the area OR are American grown. This way my clients always receive the freshest of flowers! I specialize in dahlias, zinnias, roses, peonies, delphinium, and sunflowers, to name just a few! I believe in supporting local businesses and local flower farmers.
Where I Get My Inspiration
Where I Get My Inspiration
As an avid gardener and experienced florist, I have found my inspiration from working with clients to create their unique wedding flowers. When we create and choose together the flowers that will bring joy from my cutting garden, choosing perfect colors, scents and style, we begin to create the lasting memories for their special day.
Being a studio florist gives me flexibility to give each client the time they need to find the right flowers suited for their special event. Being a flower farmer, I look forward to having my clients see the flowers that will be in their wedding and choosing the perfect flowers for the bouquets, boutonnieres, and arrangements for their special day!
My personal growth journey has been a guiding light-returning to growing/creating and designing. And through this period of tremendous personal growth, what hasn’t changed from my teaching career, is my devotion for sharing my love of flowers and their simple beauty. Beautiful flowers are perfect for any occasion! The shapes, the scents, the colors of flowers all coming together fill my soul and I’d love to help others create a beautiful and joyful floral event.
